14 Day Fascinating Pearl of Africa Great Safari

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT. PICK UP AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL IN KAMPALA OR ENTEBBE

A safari to Africa is one that will fill you with a lifetime memorable moment. Come with us and enjoy an African Safari experience. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will warmly be welcomed by our expert and professional safari guide who will brief you about how the safari is going to be and then, transfer you to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
When arrived early you can opt for some activities such as Mabamba shoe bill stock or Kampala city tour.

Accommodation: Via Via hotel in Entebbe or Forest cottages in kampala. Meals, transport, tours and bottled drinking water are included.


DAY 2: TRANSFER TO GULU CITY VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY FOR RHINO WALKING SAFARI.
After early morning at 7:00am, Your professional safari guide driver will pick you and hit the road to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, arrive at Ziwa in time, register and receiver a ranger guide who will lead you to a waking safari to track the first big of the great safari in Africa.
Thereafter, continue to Gulu City. After the Joseph Kony’s rebels were forced out of Northern Uganda, a giant was awakened. Gulu City is what we are talking about. Gulu is bustling town in this once war-ravaged region. As you will witness, the beauty of life here plays from dawn to dusk–extending deep into the night.

 

You will come meet the people have past their pain and just want to enjoy life. Enjoy your time then and later go for an overnight.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK AND ATTEND YOUR FIRST GAME DRIVE IF TIME ALLOWS
Have breakfast then set off to Kidepo Valley National Park, arrive in time for rest and lunch before going out for evening game drive. After a rest taking then you will set of for the evening game drive in Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo national park, Narus is the sector of Kidepo that has savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland.

It is also the area of the park with permanent water sources throughout the year and for that matter, most of the animals are in this part of the park.

You will be able to sport herds of Buffaloes, elephants, many Zebras, antelope species and the lions,
the elusive leopards. You will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge-Tent-Budget Level Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Transfer Time: Approx. 4 hours.

 

DAY 4: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE AND LATER IN THE EVENING WILL GO FOR KARAMOJONG CULTURAL WALK.

Have delicious breakfast then embark on Early morning game drive/safari where you will have a chance to encounter a big number of wildlife such as lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, zebras, or the elusive leopard among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation.

After a good rest, embark on Karamojong cultural walk and where you will spend a wonderful evening with the Karamojong people and have an insight on their way of life and beliefs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK WALKING SAFARI WITH EVENING GAME DRIVE.

Enjoy breakfast then move out to explore the African savannah on foot. Accompanied by Uganda wildlife authority range guides, you will venture along dry riverbeds, over rocky outcrops and through bush land to track the resident wild animals.

You will end up in Kidepo River Valley, a stroll on its wide bed of white sand or in the borassus palm forest which feels like an oasis in the Sahara, is a beautiful attraction.

Later in the afternoon, we shall return to the Narus Valley for more African wildlife encounters. Return to the hotel for showers,
dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: TRAVEL TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy delicious breakfast and embark on the road to Kidepo Murchison falls national park via beautiful landscapes and arrive early in the afternoon for lunch and relation. Later in the evening you will decide to go evening game drive or night game drive to encounter wildlife rezoning for hunting and
grazing. 
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Transfer Time: Approx. 5-6 hours.

DAY 7: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

6:00am Cross over on the bridge to the north bank of the Nile, taking along packed breakfast from Red Chill rest camp or Fort Murchison, 5-hour game drive around Common wealthy track, Victoria, Research 1 and Research 11, which stretch between the Victoria and Albert Niles, and down to the Nile and Albert Delta. Most of the park’s game and birdlife can be sported from here; We can’t guarantee you enough that you will see all the
animals but because we have a quiet number of times in the
park doing the game drive we promise you will see a big
number of wildlife. 
11.00 Cross back to the south bank and have a hot lunch at Red chill rest Camp. 14:00pm Depart for a 3-hour boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the Falls. Along the way you will be able to observe a wide variety of birds and wildlife, including numerous hippos and crocodiles as well as breathtaking scenery. Cold beverages are available during the boat tour at your own cost.
You will arrive at big falls at 4:00pm then take a guided walk around the thunderous Murchison Falls, with an optional of a mini hike to view the sister falls, Uhuru, which was created in 1962 when the river burst its banks.
17:00pm, your driver/guide will meet you off the fall and take you to the hotel for an overnight.

DAY 8: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK FOR CHIMPANZEE TRACKING.

After breakfast 8:00am start a long but incredibly scenic passing through villages, lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way. Upon arrival at the Lake Nkuruba nature reserve hotel, check in and just relax. If time allows, you can proceed for the crater lakes tour.

You will enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and the stunning views all over.

DAY 9: MORNING CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
This trip begins in Fort Portal or in Kibale where your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7:00AM. We will then drive 26km to the entrance of Kibale National Park, where we will pay the fee for chimpanzee tracking. From there, we will continue driving 10km inside the park to Kanyancu, where we will register our visit and receive a 15-minute briefing from the National Park Guides. After the briefing, the National Park ranger guides will take you onto the chimpanzee trails. The National Park Rangers track the chimpanzees, so some days the tracking will begin from the briefing spot, on other days we will continue driving into the park to different trailheads.

 

The tracking begins at 8:00AM and ends at 11:00AM (3 hours total). After tracking,your Trek Rwenzori tour guide will bring you back to your
hotel.

DAY 10: SEMPAYA HOT SPRINGS AND AMABERE GANYINA MWIRU CAVES.
This trip begins at 9:00am with a pick-up at your hotel in Fort Portal. Your professional guide will drive you through western rift valley approximately 49km to Sempanya hot springs, you will arrive in time receive a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority Park Rangers. Then first explore the male and female hot springs, then walk through the tropical rain forest to the larger female and male; hot springs all while enjoying wildlife and learning more about the park.

After enjoying the springs (not for bathing) we will travel to Amabere Caves where you will be able to see stalagmites and stalagatites together, as well as a waterfall running from Rwenzori mountains.

Thereafter the caves you will have a short hike or opt drive to see three crater lakes and there after you will return to the hotel for a rest.

DAY 11: TRAVEL TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK IN SEARCH FOR GORILLAS.

Enjoy breakfast 7:00am and head out to Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 80% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorableFrom Ishasha, we shall drive to Kihihi town For lunch.
Thereafter proceed to the the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Buhoma sector) – arriving in the evening (5 or 6pm).

DAY 12: GORILLA TREKKING DAY- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK.
Following breakfast at the Hotel, travel to the park headquarters to meet your guide for the day and begin your gorillas tracking experiences. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany you in the morning, trek into the dense rain forest in the mountain slopes. 

The journey, through the dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience for viewing mountain gorillas in the natural habitats. You will have an opportunity to be within 7-10M of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day to day activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild. This is an experience of a life time.

Following the trek, return to the lodge and, if time allows, take community walk to see the Bushmen. Be advised: tracking maybe fairly strenuous with treks up to 5 hours or longer. At high altitudes, not uncommon.

 

Mountain gorillas are wild animals because they have trekkers who keeps following them from time to time, I guarantee you to see them without fail. Return to the accommodation and have some good rest after a strenuous trek. If interested, you may consider a late afternoon-to-evening encounter with local community to experience firsthand the indigenous lifestyle in this part of the world.

DAY 13: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

You will end the safari drive at Lake Mburo Np. This is the only park where you will sport impala in Uganda. Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP via Mbarara City. You will arrive at in Lake Mburo in time and rest before
moving for evening game drive.
 During the safari drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob and Cape
buffalos among others. Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night.

If interested, you may consider the night game drive to encounter nocturnal creatures which will be a rare sighting compared to the regular daytime sightings.

DAY 14: TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

After delicious breakfast, you will start your journey back to Entebbe international airport or kampala capital city or Rwanda Kigali. Cross the equator and have time to take photos at the equator line. Buy a few souvenirs and have a quick picnic lunch.

You will then drive to Entebbe airport to catch your flights back home.
